I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
